ON A WALK THROUGH our 35-acre property, you'll hear and see chimes, bells, and gongs. We've surrounded ourselves with nature and music, and when we founded the Acutonics Institute of Integrative Medicine (www.Acutonics.com), we never imagined that our model for the direct application of sound vibration in all aspects of life would relocate from Seattle, Washington, to the mountains of rural northern New Mexico to better carry out that mission.

Welcome to August! Fire summer is coming to a close as we move into the period known as late summer or the Earth element here in the Northern Hemisphere. The heat of summer will be cooling off at the end of August or so we hope. Record highs have been reported all over the world. I believe one way to look at all this heat is to see it as a burning off of things we no longer need. This allows us to get closer to our own hearts and our true self. Then when harvest season arrives in just a few weeks we will be reaping the harvest of our true selves with a deeper connection to our hearts and Unity of All. Please continue practicing your own self-care. You are the support for many in your communities and to give as much as you do, YOU need to fill up! Please take time for a self-care FILL UP!

A profound sense of relaxation seems to be an almost universal experience for those receiving an Acutonics session. Clients often comment that the relaxation they feel from harmonic “sound baths” is the only stress-free part of their day. We know that other Acutonics practitioners have had similar feedback and have observed the decreased tension reflected in the clients’ body language.

Summer is here, the element is fire and it rules our hearts. The Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, brought an incredible amount of light to Earth. This flood of light illuminates the dark spots within us, that remain hidden and are ready to be healed. This time can be especially challenging when we don’t know what to do or how to even approach our personal healing work. Yet, our heart calls us to do the work and to live from our heart space.

The growth and energy of Spring brings the joy and dance of Summer’s Fire. Self-care is an important key to enable us to dance in joy. Fill yourself up, so you can receive and give. Here are some suggestions for sessions that do just that.

The wonderful season of Spring continues as we move into May. The weather has been a bit crazy as well as the vibrations here on planet Earth. Self-care is so important during these times of transition. We must fill ourselves up to be able to give to others. We cannot pour from an empty cup, so it is time to gather your tools, find a quiet 15-30 minutes, and give yourself a tune-up.

Spring is in the air! As the days get longer, we have more energy for play which is so important for a joyful fulfilling life. At what do you want to play? This is a great time to make new friends or to deepen our existing friendships. We have wonderful tools that link us to the heavens, so let’s play with them. Be Curious! Pick a fork, chime, singing bowl, or gong, then play it and sit with it. Listen from your heart not your mind.

Welcome to March! The time of shifting from Winter to Spring. In winter we go deep within to rest, gather knowledge of who we are and wisdom to bring it forth into the world. March begins with us deep within and then at the Spring Equinox, we arise out into the world. This is a great time for spring cleaning, letting go of what we no longer want and planting the seeds of what we DO want. Allow yourself to step into flow with the internal depth of Winter followed by the aliveness of Spring. These self-care practices will nurture you and harmonize you with the energy of March. Enjoy!

Welcome to Winter and 2019! Winter is the element of water. The meridians are the Kidney and Urinary Bladder. The energy of winter is to go within, to root – just look at the trees and all their energy directed into the root systems. Take the time for reflection, meditation and to nourish yourself, take warm baths and connect deeply with the Divine Being you are. Wisdom that you gather this Winter season will ground and guide you for the entire 2019 year. Happy New Year!

December is the darkest time of the year. It is energetically a time of going deep within. Like a tree deep into our root system. Taking the time to go within, allows us access to the core of who we are so that we may be nourished. December is also a very busy social time of year, creating a pull within our beings. Self care is key to balancing these energies and enjoying this holiday season.
