Acutonics Institute of Integrative Medicine

Use and Application

Physical Application

Acutonics tuning forks are methodically applied in a sound treatment on or over acupuncture points, trigger points, chakras, or points of pain. Similar to the application of needles in acupuncture to balance the flow of qi – tuning forks are applied to these same points, or energy gates, but in a non-invasive and further reaching manner.

Sound Treatments

Sound treatments are individually tailored to each patient, and the whole of the patient is observed, diagnosed, and treated holistically. Acutoncis offers a range of treatments from quick, simple self-care protocols you can learn yourself, all the way to advanced applications administered by Acutonics Practitioners located around the world.

Treatment Applications

The breadth of applications is wide and expanding. Autoimmune Disease, Cancer, Mental Health, Musculoskeletal Conditions, Neurological Conditions, Psycho-Spiritual Conditions, Respiratory Conditions, Women’s Health Conditions, and Animal Health Conditions have all been treated using Acutonics.

How To Use: Holding A Fork

Hold your tuning forks on the flat section just below the prongs and above the stem. Place your thumb on the flat side (over the Acutonics logo), and place your forefinger on the other side. The stem will rest in the palm behind the third and fourth fingers.

How To Use: Activating A Fork

Relax your fingers and wrist, and strike one of the color-coded weights at the end of the fork. The weight can be struck flat or at an angle - this is personal preference.

The fork does not need to be hit hard, but the more solid the hit, the longer the vibration will be sustained. Be patient with yourself and practice activating the tuning forks a few times, it will quickly come naturally to you.

Don’t over hit the tuning forks. It takes just a light tap to activate them. If you hear the forks clang, you’ve hit them too hard.

How To Use: Listen

After you activate the tuning forks, take a moment to listen to their beautiful sound!

Listening to the forks while you are learning to use them is helpful to determine if you are hitting them evenly. Most people have a dominant hand and it can take a bit of practice to get a solid strike of the tuning forks with both hands.
