As autumn yields to winter, we enter the delicate alchemy of Metal moving into Water. Metal offers clarity, refinement, and the sacred art of letting go; Water receives what is shed, gathering it into a deeper well of wisdom. This seasonal passage invites us inward, to soften, surrender, and nourish the roots of yin while listening for the subtle guidance that arises from silence and stillness.

With the turning of the wheel we approach the Winter Solstice, a time when energy reverts deeply to the root. This marks a time of great stillness, nurturance and stoking of the yin fire, consolidation of energy, pulling in and grounding to the earth.

Over the last year Israel has been at war. It started on October 7th when 1200 civilians, whole families, young children and babies were murdered, raped, mutilated and tortured in the most horrific way. For us, this is an ongoing trauma, not only because it happened on our land, but because Israel is a tiny country and everybody knows someone who went through it, so it's very close to home. When it started, a wonderful sound healer opened a WhatsApp group for sound healers and that's where I actually realized how many sound healers there are, that I was not aware of in Israel.

This season, ruled by the element of fire, ignites our passions, fuels our creativity, and invites us to embrace the fullness of life. In the practice of Acutonics, understanding the elemental energies of Summer allows us to harmonize with the natural rhythms of the season and cultivate balance and well-being.

The transition from Winter to Spring in the Western hemisphere has begun, marked by celebrations of Imbolc (the midpoint between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox) and the Lunar New Year of the Green Dragon. With this transition comes the promise of new beginnings in the Field.
