About Sound Therapy

Tibetan Bowls of multiple sizes on a rug
Tibetan Bowls, Tuning Forks, Hand Chimes, and Gongs are sound therapy tools used in Acutonics® protocols.

Sound Therapy is the application of sound vibration in order to help the body return to emotional and physiological wellbeing. Sound Therapy works on the principle that everything in the Universe vibrates, from the smallest particle to the planets in the solar system, to the billions of stars in the Milky Way Galaxy. These vibrations create patterns of geometric waveforms, frequencies, musical intervals and sounds which can set another body in motion, known as resonance.

Vibration travels faster through denser material like liquids because the molecules in these substances are more tightly-packed together and more easily bump into each other. This makes the human body, which is about 70% water, an excellent receptor for vibration. Physically you can feel the beat or vibration of a drum or something subtle like a fly buzzing past your head because the sound waves are being transferred through the air molecules and resonating with the water molecules in your body. Building on these principles of vibration, frequency, resonance and more, healing becomes possible, attuning the body to carefully calibrated frequencies that support wellbeing.

Precision-Calibrated Sound Therapy Tools

Also known as the Music of the Spheres, the vibrational frequency of the Earth, Moon, Sun and Planets, and their archetypal qualities, lead to the creation of the Acutonics® Tuning Forks used in Sound Therapy. Acutonics applies these precision-calibrated tuning forks to specific acupuncture points to access the meridian and chakra energy systems. They also support the body’s natural frequencies, stimulate and balance the physical and subtle energy fields, and promote wellness, deep inner harmony and Harmonic Attunement®.

In a therapeutic environment, the Acutonics Sound Therapy practitioner begins by creating a treatment strategy based on information gathered from the client at the beginning of the session. During the session, a combination of Sound Therapy Tools may be used such as Acutonics Tuning Forks, Planetary Gongs, Hand Chimes, Tibetan Bowls, and Harmonic Essentials® Oils. The specific tools are selected based on the frequency of the planets and their therapeutic qualities that correspond to the issue at hand. This integrative approach helps the client to deepen their understanding of the profound universal connections between the natural world, body, mind and spirit, and the role that they each play in the journey toward wholeness.
