Dragon as Guardian and Protector of the Three Treasures

11 Apr, 2020
The dragon in Chinese mythology is fierce by nature and has an inherent desire to protect treasures as well as humans, and to guide their souls. Where the Christian and chivalric traditions have distorted and portrayed dragons as evil for their own agenda, like they have with the snake, in the Orient, the dragons symbolize, power, wisdom, strength, and hidden knowledge, that helps us to connect with our untamed nature, our true essence, our own wellsprings of creation. Dragons were highly revered representing terrestrial and celestial power. When dragons reach a certain age, they develop wings and take on more responsibility.

Acutonics® for Your Animal Companions

26 Feb, 2020
Over 20 years ago, our holistic vet suggested that, since we were acupuncturists, it would be useful for us to do regular acupuncture treatments to help address the persistent digestive imbalance that our Standard Poodle puppy, Jazz was experiencing at the time. We studied references for point location in animals and mapped out a treatment plan based on the pattern of the imbalance. Then we plied Jazz with petting and small treats and inserted needles in the appropriate points. Ever the patient and cooperative being that she was, she stood perfectly still and allowed the needle insertions without a flinch. When all the needles were inserted she waited just a minute and then began systematically removing the needles with her teeth. Perhaps this wouldn’t be as easy as we thought.

Cycles, Spirals, Time-Space and the Unified Field

9 Jan, 2020
In 3D reality we perceive time as a linear progression from past to present to future (space-time). From this perspective we are now at the beginning of not only a new year, but a new decade. That is a perception of time as discontinuous, that is, there is a distinct past separated from the present, which is separate from the future.

Winter Solstice—Renewal and Becoming

1 Dec, 2019
Winter solstice is the time of the year that is most yin, the tipping point where extreme yin shifts toward the yang. The darkness of the days gives way to lengthening times of light. Even as winter begins, it starts moving toward the spring.

Mountain of Balance Points: Connecting Spirit and Divine Will

1 Nov, 2019
In Chinese Medicine this time of year is associated with the Metal Element (Lung/Large Intestine). This transitional time that falls between the fire of summer and the water of winter, offers an excellent opportunity to think about how we might utilize the Zhi or Will of the Kidneys to rise above denser energies of survival, materiality and polarity. Rising Zhi allows us to transform energy associated with fear. Through the alchemical fire of the Heart we have the ability to refine our energy to an elevated vibratory status associated with the unified field. This higher vibratory frequency enhances our ability to manifest a more harmonious life and aligns our individual path in life with our divine destiny. This acceleration of frequency allows us to connect with the field of potentiality for transformation and realization of our higher purpose.

The Shen and the Zhi—Nurturing the Heart and Kidney Spirits

1 Oct, 2019
In our clinical practice we see, in our patients, the results of a pervasive atmosphere of fear, uncertainty, upheaval and negativity, in their daily lives. This inhibits their ability to trust and allow the flow of the universe to provide inspiration for movement beyond the experience of this outer reality.

Four Gates of Heaven Access to Expansion

1 Sep, 2019
The Four Gates, LI 4 (Hegu – Union Valley), and LIV 3 (Tai Chong – Great Surge) are introduced in Acutonics Level I as important points individually and as a powerful set of points when activated together.

Accessing the Power of the Microcosmic Orbit

1 Aug, 2019
In Acutonics classes we emphasize the importance of the Microcosmic Orbit as a Taoist practice of inner alchemy. The co-mingling of heavenly and earthly energies facilitated by the activation of the orbit is considered to expand our connection to Source and the knowledge of the eternal nature of our being. It is a reflection of this eternal nature, manifesting in temporal reality.

The Heart, The Field and Infinite Possibilities

1 Jun, 2019
Although we have written about bringing awareness to the field of the heart in the past this month we return to this topic because, as we increase our experience of heart-centered awareness during Acutonics sessions, we continue to be awe struck by the power of this practice.

Playing in the Field: Change the Field to Change Matter

1 May, 2019
As Acutonics practitioners we use sound as a vehicle to create vibratory states that are useful in healing and transformation. In the beginning, in Level I, we begin making intervals using two tuning forks with differing tones to create “spaces in between”. The spaces contain overtones that relate to extra-dimensionality and create portals into other realms of being.
