Winter solstice is the time of the year that is most yin, the tipping point where extreme yin shifts toward the yang. The darkness of the days gives way to lengthening times of light. Even as winter begins, it starts moving toward the spring.

In Chinese Medicine this time of year is associated with the Metal Element (Lung/Large Intestine). This transitional time that falls between the fire of summer and the water of winter, offers an excellent opportunity to think about how we might utilize the Zhi or Will of the Kidneys to rise above denser energies of survival, materiality and polarity. Rising Zhi allows us to transform energy associated with fear. Through the alchemical fire of the Heart we have the ability to refine our energy to an elevated vibratory status associated with the unified field. This higher vibratory frequency enhances our ability to manifest a more harmonious life and aligns our individual path in life with our divine destiny. This acceleration of frequency allows us to connect with the field of potentiality for transformation and realization of our higher purpose.

In our clinical practice we see, in our patients, the results of a pervasive atmosphere of fear, uncertainty, upheaval and negativity, in their daily lives. This inhibits their ability to trust and allow the flow of the universe to provide inspiration for movement beyond the experience of this outer reality.

The Four Gates, LI 4 (Hegu – Union Valley), and LIV 3 (Tai Chong – Great Surge) are introduced in Acutonics Level I as important points individually and as a powerful set of points when activated together.

In Acutonics classes we emphasize the importance of the Microcosmic Orbit as a Taoist practice of inner alchemy. The co-mingling of heavenly and earthly energies facilitated by the activation of the orbit is considered to expand our connection to Source and the knowledge of the eternal nature of our being. It is a reflection of this eternal nature, manifesting in temporal reality.

Although we have written about bringing awareness to the field of the heart in the past this month we return to this topic because, as we increase our experience of heart-centered awareness during Acutonics sessions, we continue to be awe struck by the power of this practice.

As Acutonics practitioners we use sound as a vehicle to create vibratory states that are useful in healing and transformation. In the beginning, in Level I, we begin making intervals using two tuning forks with differing tones to create “spaces in between”. The spaces contain overtones that relate to extra-dimensionality and create portals into other realms of being.

Spring is the season of awakening and enlivening the liver energy as the Earth brings forth manifestation from the potentiality stored in the seed. This is a good opportunity to connect with the Hun, the spirit of the liver. In Chinese medicine the energy of the liver is responsible for the smooth flow of qi in the body.

Modern Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) views the meridians as a “closed” energetic system. This perspective holds that the Qi moves in organized flows throughout the body and that these channels or meridians communicate with the various organs and tissues of the body and that the meridians communicate with each other. From this point of view the energies influencing health and well-being are circulating and interacting within the limits of physical structure.

In our Level I Acutonics® classes we emphasize the value of our planetary frequencies to aid in creating altered states of consciousness. These altered states act as portals to new possibilities and new experiences of health and wellbeing. Our clients are able to more easily release old entanglement patterns.
