Winter: Stillness and Reverting to the Root

The day of Winter Solstice is the day of shortest light, the pivot point when the zenith of yin shifts to the reawakening of yang. This is the time for concentrating reserves of yin energy that nourish the seeds of who we are becoming. The yin fire ignites our will to overcome obstacles and manifest our destiny. The Yellow Emperor is quoted as saying “At this time you must not disturb or displace the yang energy so that you can allow the yin reserves to be established within you.”

We have an opportunity to realign with our divine spark, our destiny, a portal to new potential. If we use this time to nurture this spark it can enlighten our understanding of what no longer serves us and what contains the matrix of new possibilities. This time of stillness can be a powerful time of allowing our reconnection to and truest expression of Source. This is of extraordinary importance in the challenging times we have been navigating.

The year’s end expresses a culmination of extreme duality and the fear and distrust that accompanies it. The energy of Sedna can act as an antidote to these feelings. Both yin and yang, Sedna is the expression of the confluence of opposing energies. In her capacity as a superconductor, she can assist us in accelerated movement toward experiences of unity and alignment with the Tao. Hygiea promotes expression of multidimensional alignment.

In our practices, we can offer energetic support for the Kidneys, the storehouse of essence and creative power. We can support the balance of yin and yang as winter begins its shift to spring. We can help to promote consolidation of core energy and ground it at the root.

Utilizing points and intervals that support the Kidney energy and incorporating the Governing (DU) and Conception (REN) vessels, we can provide harmonic foundation for renewal and becoming.

UB 23 (Kidney Shu): The Mars/Venus 5th interval to bring balance to the yin and yang aspects of the Kidney. Low Sedna/Low Venus to balance Kidney yin and yang at the deep level of the Yin Fire. Low Sedna/Low Hygiea for multidimensional coherence.

DU 4 (Life Gate): Solar 7th interval to support the yang energy of the Kidney and all the energy systems of the body.

KID 3 (Great Ravine): Mars/Venus 5th interval to balance yin and yang at the source. Another option here is Sedna/Venus 6th as Sedna supports both yin and yang and has the energy of super conduction and Venus directs the energy to the Kidneys. Hygiea/Venus for coherence of kidney energy at all levels.

REN 4 (Origin Pass): Saturn/Venus 5th interval to consolidate the yin energy of the Kidney.

The Ren Mai and Du Mai, the ultimate yin and yang channels can be employed to balance duality: On the Ren Mai (The ultimate yin vessel): Full Moon/Venus microtone to strongly nourish yin followed by Saturn/Venus 5th to consolidate the Kidney yin. Or apply Sedna/Venus, Sedna/Full Moon, Sedna/Saturn to activate and consolidate Kidney yin.

On the Du Mai extraordinary vessel (The ultimate yang vessel): Solar 7th interval to strengthen yang energy followed by Mars/Venus 5th interval to bring the activating yang energy of Mars and direct it to the Kidneys. If you wish to strongly activate the energy of Mars use the Sedna/Mars interval.

In these challenging times we can use our cosmic frequencies to bring stillness to aid in support of the spark of coherence and unity in the Field.
