By Donna Carey
When we shatter
We shatter
What does it matter
Inflection points pry into
Souls
Injecting what we
Are not expecting
No experiments of deception
hints to complete
introspection
no conspiracy theories
No judges
No juries
Only higher laws for us to query
I forgive you
For dual natures
Love saturations of
Angels singing
Science bells gloriously ringing
Mythology in the forecast
Spring bursting bastions of smells
At last. . .
Reminders of the spell
rolling thru untapped wells
knowledge of ingenuity
keeping faith for perpetuity
forget 401K’s
annuities
Forget 501C3s
remember lilacs
honeybees
variegating into territories
of virgin wood
morning glories
sweetness of a
brand new story
a dream of tomorrow
filled with vibrant sound
technicolors
not desperate sorrow
Elk keep savings in magic groves
temper mad cravings
for natures trove
guard a wilderness under duress
caress the young
nurse the calves
They will dream with us
Just not in halves
It’s not what we amass
But what we share
Not the
Context of a bull
or a bear
It’s history we leave behind
Riches of traces
Generations will mine
For all species
All races
