Since taking their first Acutonics classes in 2003 Mary Elizabeth Wakefield (MEW) and MichelAngelo have been collaborators and huge supporters of our work with sound vibration in a clinical setting. Although based in New York they travel the world and are frequent presenters at conferences. In this contribution from MEW for the Acutonics Newsletter we catch up with some of their past and upcoming events

At the end of 2016, MichelAngelo and I were invited to present at a large international symposium on facial acupuncture in Tokyo (ICAS 2016). The prestigious event, organized by our former Tokyo sponsor, was held at the Imperial Hotel. My demonstration included Constitutional Facial Acupuncture treatment protocols from my book (Constitutional Facial Acupuncture published in 2014), as well as the integration of Acutonics® tuning forks into treatments. Over 100 Japanese acupuncturists witnessed these demonstrations. Most of the attendees had no previous knowledge of the use of tuning forks and I was also able to inform them about Izumi Masukawa, the Acutonics® distributor and teacher in Japan, so that they could learn more. After the summit, our sponsor drove us to Kamakura, to view the largest Buddha in the world, the famous Daibutsu. Experiencing this massive Buddha invoked humility and a meditative state that we will never forget!

From April 22-25, 2017, we will teach the Acutonics® elective seminar, Facial Soundscapes: Harmonic Renewal, part 1 of the 5 module certification program, and MichelAngelo will offer his seminar in Planetary Vibrational Medicine 1, April 29 to May 1, both at Shindai Acupuncture in Sedona, AZ (NCCAOM PDA’s and CA CE’s available). We then travel on to Boulder, CO for our certification series in Constitutional Facial Acupuncture Archetypes, in which we will introduce the use of Acutonics tuning forks.

In August, we are “down under” in Australia, for a 4-city tour – Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney. In Sydney, we will offer a new seminar, based on our forthcoming book, Vibrational Acupuncture: Integrating Tuning Forks with Needles, which will be published by Singing Dragon UK in 2018. October 6-8, 2017 we debut this course at Bastyr University, in Kenmore, WA, this is the first time the course will be offered in North America.

Immediately thereafter, we return to northern New Mexico for our 8th Soundscapes Intensive, comprising all 5 levels of training, October 10-31, 2017. We will be hosted by our dear friend and colleague, Barrie Andrews, Acutonics® Teacher and Practitioner extraordinaire, at OCHO, her beautiful gallery space and healing center in Questa (north of Taos). (NCCAOM PDA’s and CA CE’s available).

We hope to see some of you in our travels.
