Use and Applications
Application: Individual Sound Treatments
In an Acutonics treatment, while the planetary Tuning Forks are applied to specific acupoints – planetary Hand Chime(s) are often used in the same treatment. The extreme resonant qualities of hand chimes means that they penetrate, and extend the planetary sound much greater than tuning forks alone. They are used over the body or to cocoon the body in sound vibration. The Hand Chimes can be used individually, or in pairs that create rich and complex planetary intervals.
Application: Clearing Space
Planetary Hand Chimes are excellent for creating harmony and energetic equilibrium in a space – whether a room in your home or office, a yard, or garden. Hand Chimes can be hung in a space or held in your hand to activate.
Application: Sound Bathing
- Playing the Hand Chimes
- Starting Softly: Begin with gentle, soft strikes to introduce the sound gradually. This helps participants ease into the experience.
- Varying Techniques: Use different techniques to create a dynamic soundscape:
- Striking: Gently strike the chimes to produce clear, bell-like tones. Vary the force to create different dynamics.
- Sustaining: Let the tones resonate and linger, allowing the sound to fill the space.
- Rhythmic Patterns: Introduce simple, slow rhythmic patterns to create a sense of flow and continuity.
- Random Play: Play the chimes randomly to create a natural, free-flowing soundscape.
- Layering Sounds
- Harmony and Contrast: Experiment with playing multiple planetary chimes together to create harmonious or contrasting sounds. This adds depth and richness to the sound bath.
- Spatial Movement: Move around the space as you play the chimes, allowing the sound to come from different directions. This can enhance the immersive experience for participants.
- Maintaining the Atmosphere
- Consistency: Keep the sounds consistent and continuous. Avoid abrupt changes that might disturb the relaxation.
- Listening: Pay attention to the sound and the energy of the room. Adjust your playing to maintain a calming and soothing atmosphere.
- Concluding the Sound Bath
- Gradual Ending: Slowly decrease the intensity and frequency of the sounds. Allow the tones to fade naturally.
- Silence: Leave a few moments of silence at the end to let participants absorb the experience and transition back to the present moment.
- Closing Remarks: Gently bring participants back by encouraging them to take deep breaths and slowly open their eyes. Offer some closing words and allow time for participants to share their experiences if they wish.
- Post-Sound Bath Integration
- Reflection: Encourage participants to reflect on their experience and how they feel afterward.
- Hydration: Remind participants to drink water to help integrate the experience and stay hydrated.
Application: Ecology & Agriculture Sonication
Planetary Hand Chimes are regularly used in the field via Acutonics research and elective classes. Hand Chimes are used to create vibrations to assist in the plant pollination process, and in elevating the standing vibration of gardens, yards, and living environments.
Buzz Pollination is a process where bees and pollinating insects vibrate their flight muscles to release pollen from flowers, especially those with tightly packed anthers. This vibration shakes the pollen loose, aiding in the fertilization of the plant.
Buzz Pollination can be mimicked using specific Acutonics fork and chime frequencies and combinations that support reproductive balance, producing the necessary vibration archetypes that release pollen from flowers, and promote overall fertility, abundance, and lush microclimates.
