Signee Hoffman DC, DACNB, FACFN is a board certified chiropractic neurologist in clinical practice for the past 20 years. She specializes in brain and nervous system integration using chiropractic adjustments primarily Activator Methods and Sacro-Occipital Technique and neuromuscular re-education such as  visual-spacial exercises, balance therapy, Primitive Reflex Integration (RMT), tympanic insufflation, Epley maneuver, interactive metronome and Acutonics.  Signee attended Sweet Briar college in Virginia. She focused on a Biology major and Chemistry minor and graduated in 1991. Her senior project was germination rates of Tribulus terrestris (goat heads) with exposure to different osmolarity (saline) conditions. She particularly enjoyed classes such as organic chemistry, comparative vertebrate morphology, and scanning electron microscopy. She appreciated and photographed the sacred geometry of diatoms in her senior project. From there, she attended Palmer College of Chiropractic until 1995. She was inspired by the tbttttffrr of Dr. Frederick Carrick and continued with her postdoctoral studies with Carrick institute in 2000 and obtained her diplomate of Chiropractic Neurology in 2002. In 2009, she obtained her fellowship in functional neurology from IAFNR. In 2011, she purchased two Acutonics ohm tuning forks and was intrigued by the calming effect it had on her as well as patients. She was inspired to learn more about their breadth, depth and application by enrolling in Acutonics Institute of Integrative Medicine in 2014. In 2017 she plans on finishing her classes, her clinical hours and research thesis.

When she started using Acutonics in the clinical setting, she noticed it has helped patients on a vibratory and spiritual level which is beyond the mechanical and physical body. From a neurological perspective, she was drawn to the work but noticed very quickly it transcended her expectations to a vibrational tool that connects us to a higher source energy: globally, planetary, universal. The Acutonics method has been an honor to learn and share with patients. She uses tuning forks, bowls chimes and gongs in her treatment.

She utilizes CAPS (Comprehensive Assessment of Postural Systems) and recently Saccadometer Plus (assessment tool for the fast movements of eyes) for a window into the cerebellum and cortical function. In addition, she is interested in how Acutonics treatments affect neural integration and balance. She currently treats patients with balance disorders, concussions, ADD, postural dysfunction and patients interested in energy medicine through vibration & sound. Dr Hoffman has a private practice in Bakersfield, California and is open four days a week. She dedicates the rest of her time being mommy to two beautiful daughters and wonderful husband.
