Mary Elizabeth Wakefield, LAc., MS, MM, AAAOM Educator of the Year, is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, Zen Shiatsu practitioner and cranio-sacral therapist, and an opera singer, and the author of the book, Constitutional Facial Acupuncture (Elsevier UK, 2014).

She is the co-creator, with MichelAngelo, MFA, Advisor, Astrological Medicine & Musical Studies, Acutonics (2006-2013), of 5 levels of training in Facial Soundscapes, an Acutonics elective. Mary Elizabeth is a recognized international master teacher of facial acupuncture, and she currently offers a 3-tiered Practitioner Certification Program in facial acupuncture through her company, Chi-Akra Center. Additionally, she has created a 2-year master's level immersion in facial acupuncture, the International GOLD STANDARD FACIAL ACUPUNCTURE® Certification Program, the first of its kind in the world today, which addresses this transformational modality through the levels of body/mind/spirit.
