Kristen Wade is a Certified Actonics® Practitioner, with an active practice located in the scenic Victorian seaport of Port Townsend, WA. She sees clients in person, as well as giving distance sessions.

Kristen is a lifelong musician, and brings her knowledge of music and music theory to the Acutonics® modality in a deep and useful way. Her approach is both heart-centered and technical, intuitive and intellectual, always with a focus on the individual needs for each client’s health and well-being.

Kristen began playing the violin at the age of 9. She was classically trained, played in the orchestra for many years, all the while enjoying a parallel world of Bluegrass and eventually Irish Traditional music. The Irish genre took hold, and has never let go. Kristen has studied with many native Irish fiddlers who are masters in their field, over a period of 20+ years. She has been a violin instructor giving private lessons since 2004, and continues to this day.

Kristen’s strong love of books and learning, along with her organizational skills and creative nature led her to study Library Sciences. She worked for many years in federal, city and county libraries, created an elementary school library from scratch, planned and presented many Summer reading programs, did outreach in the local schools, and taught some of the very first internet classes in WA state.

Eventually all of those library skills were applied to managing two separate Alternative medical clinics, and it was during this time that she was first introduced to Acutonics®. Her deep understanding of music, and first-hand experience in the remarkable benefits of acupuncture, combined to inform her immediately about the importance of this sound healing modality. It literally resonated with her! She launched into her training, and now manages her own practice, North Star Acutonics.

The thesis project for Kristen’s Acutonics Practitioner certification was an original musical composition using Sedna’s scale of Cnatural. It was played and recorded with the Acutonics tuning forks on one track, and her violin on an accompanying track.
