Valentina Morani and Acutonics—Of Course

Valentina “Tina” Morani learned about Acutonics—first hand—in 2006. Back then she was just getting into her first semester at the Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado observing in the student clinic. That’s when one of the College’s teachers (and Acutonics teacher) Sylvia Pelcz-Larsen brought in the tuning forks. “I remember seeing how powerful the treatment was,” Tina recalls today from her home in Chestertown, Maryland, where she grew up and runs her own acupuncture and Acutonics practice. I really want to do this, she thought to herself. But not right now. So she put it aside. She graduated. She got her practice going back in Chestertown.
August 2017 Astrological Overview

Aloha! It is a joy to return for another astrological overview for the month of August 2017. I am very eager to discuss treatment ideas regarding the solar eclipse, key lunar activation dates, and some of the middle and longer-term astrological arrangements we are experiencing as a collective. However, one of the main reasons I asked to write for our May and August newsletters this year is because of the relationship these months have with the phi ratio. This year, with respect to the Earth’s orbit around the Sun*, August 4th, 2017 is Phi Day! (Hey there’s a national Pi Day, why not a Phi Day?) To me Phi Day is all about letting go of outdated or obsolete structures and re-centering on following our highest and best path as individuals and as a collective. And as we will discuss further down the page, there are some awesome astrological implications and opportunities this month that can be applied towards our preventative and critical care for clients, our planet and ourselves!
Sun: The Star We Know Best

The Sun is the center of our universe, around which all other planets evolve. The most basic qualities of the Sun relate to the self, vision, illumination, numinosity, enlightenment, consciousness, collective consciousness, the father, the divine child, and the solar hero. The movement of the Sun through the zodiac also provides a perennial reenactment of the cycles of life, birth, death, and rebirth. The Sun helps us be fully aware and truly conscious, able to access the prophetic nature of Apollo to find our own truth and innate potential.
Laura Herman, Acutonics Student Intern

Laura Herman has been practicing Acutonics techniques for over eleven years. She lives in a small house surrounded by trees, a creek, and many wild animals. This quiet setting is perfect for meditation, yoga, reading and writing. Recently retired she intends to focus on her writing (currently working on two novels) and to continue with her hobbies, which include hiking, photography and book club. Recently retired from a 31-year teaching career, Laura Herman and her husband Mike Aplet recently stopped by the Mothership. They are on a postretirement, somewhat spontaneous camping trip across the Southwest and on toward Chicago to visit with their daughter Naomi, and then back west to Seattle.
Accessing the Field of all Possibilities

As Acutonics practitioners, we use sound as a vehicle to create vibratory states that aid in healing and transformation. From Acutonics Level I, we work with intervals created through the combination of two tuning forks to create “spaces in between”. These spaces contain overtones that create portals into other realms of being and extra-dimensionality. In Acutonics Level II, we access ancient wisdom traditions and introduce shamanic tools as a way to connect with frequencies of divine vibration. Tibetan bowls and bells, drums, didgeridoos and other healing instruments from a variety of cultures are explored. These sound tools are often used in daily shamanic practices as a method for shifting consciousness, and reaching higher level of resonance with the divine realms. Fortunately, today we have growing awareness and vision within science that has moved beyond Newtonian principles to incorporate these ancient wisdom practices that were previously classified as religious, spiritual, or superstitious.

"When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, my world went into a crazy spin. I was suddenly thrust into a foreign land of doctors, drugs, and medical treatments. Elle a recent breast cancer survivor herself, offered to help me with Acutonics sound healing treatments. Not knowing what to expect, I dragged myself in after my first round of chemotherapy. Elle went to work treating parts of my internal body like my liver to not only help with the side effects of the drugs, but to balance and ground me as well."
