Dr. Birch Storey on Acutonics’ and the Spaces in Between

“Sound,” says Dr. Birch Storey, “is to the nervous system as food is to the body.” Which is about as good an analogy as there is for the basis of Acutonics and sound healing. “And what makes Acutonics unique among sound therapies,” she adds, “is the cross-cultural and mathematical impact of the interval that is created when two tuning forks are used together.” Birch should know. She’s been teaching Acutonics for almost twelve years, and like many an Acutonics teacher, practitioner and client, has had an open mind, a curious mind, all her life. One that has led her to many places, many modalities, before landing on what she feels has been “the greatest medium, method and mentor of my life—Acutonics.”
Sedna, Non-duality & Connection Through the Field

Non-duality can be described as non-separation—what we might think of as the Wu Qi or the Tao, the undifferentiated oneness. It is in this field of oneness that we find the origins of our commonality. It’s here that we are free from the distinctions of self and other, that we realize our connection to the universal expression of life force. We have found the frequency of Sedna to be extraordinarily resonant with this energy and often include her in sessions with this in mind. Sedna manifests the confluence of the active energy of super-conduction and the energy of grounding, nurturing, and connection to the deepest yin. She is both activating, upward and outward moving and consolidating, cooling and grounding. Sedna manifests the stillness that brings forth powerful awakening, the seed that after stillness and consolidation, germinates and rises upward to express its full potential.
Traveling Gongs

Judy Bernard a Licensed Acutonics teacher and senior faculty member travels extensively with her gongs. She shared this recent adventure with us. "About a year ago I moved to Nashville, Tennessee, not a place I’d given much thought to or even wanted to visit. We were brought here by my Beloved’s work, and after finding a place to live I began to research things to do in the area. I was really pleased to discover the Nashville Chooses Peace Festival. None of our belongings had arrived yet, no gongs to create a booth, so I decided to volunteer and have fun. I met the most amazingly kindhearted group of people that have become my best friends here. I must say Nashville is the kindest city I have ever been too. I had found my pod!"
The Moon: Our Dance Partner

On June 22, at the time of the solstice, we entered into the sign of Cancer, a sign associated with water, the nocturnal, fertility, and intuition, ruled by the Moon and guided by emotion and the heart. The Moon is reflective of the entire life cycle from birth to death to rebirth, like the Moon itself waning and waxing toward fullness. Within Acutonics we work with two cycles of the Moon (explored extensively in Acutonics Level I and Level II) the New Moon and the Full Moon. Although many of the healing themes, and correspondences of the two Moons are similar in nature the quality of the interval and our archetypal understanding of the New Moon 5th and the Full Moon 6th is what guides the specific therapeutic uses of the moons.
Sherry Schnell: Student Intern and Licensed Acutonics® Level I & II Teacher

An online search for a program that incorporates sound and music led Sherry Schnell to Acutonics. “I had been dealing with serious health challenges for many years and knew that music made me feel better”, stated Sherry. I looked at many programs but Acutonics felt right; once I started working with the tools I knew it was right.“ Sherry always had a connection to music, which grew when she recognized that listening to music helped relieve her pain.
Planetary Healing for July 2017: Mars/Pluto opposition and Sedna/Venus Combust!

Before we even get to the July 4th fireworks this month starts off with a bang! On July 2nd, Mars and Pluto will be in exact opposition to each other at 18° Cancer/Capricorn. If that wasn’t enough, on the same day we’ll also have 3 T-squares to Jupiter, Mercury, and the Moon, plus 3 Yods to Venus, Saturn, and the Moon. But we also have a grand fire trine between Saturn, North Node, and Uranus lending positive support and harmony. Needless to say, it’s a lot to take in. The T-square dynamics will change due to faster moving planets, so I will focus on those energies that remain consistent this month: the Yod to Saturn, T-square to Jupiter, a T-square to the Nodes, always important to the story unfolding, and the Grand Fire trine.

"It was such a pleasure to learn about Acutonics at the TCM Kongress in Rothenburg! I was sceptical at first, but completely sold on the approach by lunchtime on Saturday. And that was before I experienced a treatment! I have been doing nothing but Acutonics since my return home - patients, family, friends, colleagues - no one is safe! What I have observed so far is that 1) it makes people very happy and 2) they find it very relaxing. I look forward to following through to observe the effects on symptoms"
