In November we enter the astrological time of Scorpio (October 22 – November 21), ruled by the planet Pluto, (in ancient time Mars). During this time there are many other influences drawn from Five Element theory including the Element of Metal, the season of Fall, the time of harvest, the organs of the Large Intestine (LI) and Lung (LU), and the planet Venus.

Nearly nineteen years ago, our holistic vet suggested that, since we were acupuncturists, it would be useful for us to do regular acupuncture treatments to help address the persistent digestive imbalance that our Standard Poodle puppy, Jazz was experiencing. Recently Amada Simon was here visiting from England. Coming to the Mothership was a focal point as she planned a yearlong retreat to focus on sculpture, drawing and writing. Her stops in the US included a trip to New York, time here in New Mexico, and then on to Texas, South America and many other parts of the world. Amanda is a student of Joanie Solaini and she has completed Acutonics Level I & II.
